UNA-USA National Council Candidate Biographies Released

Earlier today all current members of the UNA-USA received an email from the UNA-USA the upcoming National Council elections. Attached to the e-mail, and linked to here, was a PDF that contained the biographies of each of the candidates. Our own Upper Mohawk Valley chapter Vice President, Greg Smith, was nominated for the National Council by chapter board member, John Slater. Mr. Smith's candidacy information was accepted by the current National Council nominating committee. His candidacy information is described in the National Council Biographies linked to above.

We encourage all members in good standing to vote for the candidates who they believe will best fill the position of UNA-USA National Council members. The unaltered text of the email appears below.

Dear Mid-Atlantic Region members:

The Nominating Committee has reviewed applications received during the call for nominations and has determined the following persons to be qualified for placement on the ballot for National Council regional representative positions. Candidates are placed in regions based on the address we have on record. We depend on you to identify our future leaders, and we thank you for participating in the process. We hope you will take this opportunity to learn about the candidates who will be on the ballot during the voting period on April 2-16. Brief bios for each candidate and responses to essential questions were provided by the nominee or nominator on their application. Attached you will find that information.

Please refer to Section 2 (Composition of the National Council) and Section 13 (Election to the National Council) of the Standard Operating Procedures for further information. We hope the candidate information will help you as you cast your vote when you receive the ballot for your region on April 2 via email.
