Application for Conference Leadership

The 2019 UMVMUN Application for Conference Leadership can be found below. Please answer all questions as thoroughly as possible. Be sure to include citations of evidence from your personal experiences where appropriate. It should be noted that this application is the primary source of comparison that conference advisers will use to select this year's conference leaders and assign positions to those who are selected. Make sure you represent yourself to the best of your ability.

Note: the term "conference leader" is used throughout this application to refer to a student who has demonstrated leadership either through experience as a member of a conference secretariat or as a committee chair.

All applications must be submitted for consideration by 5/28/19. Applicants who are selected for leadership positions will be notified via e-mail on or before 5/31/19. If selected, please plan on attending our first meeting on Wednesday, June 5 at 6:30 pm. The meeting will be hosted at the main campus of Oneida-Herkimer-Madison BOCES located at 4747 Middle Settlement Road, New Hartford, New York. Unless unforeseen circumstances prevent you from attending a scheduled meeting and you have communicated these circumstances to a conference adviser, all conference leaders are expected to be in attendance at least five minutes before the start of each meeting. The full meeting schedule for conference leaders appears below. Members of secretariat will have additional planning and meeting responsibilities outside of the schedule listed.
